Shirley Davis

Shirley Kay Davis, 63, died Monday, April 2, 2007 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Shirley was born April 11, 1943 in Boulder, CO. She was the lead driver for the Des Moines Public Schools until her retirement in 1999. Shirley was a member of Berean Assembly of God Church. Her life revolved around her family. She will be remembered for her caring and kind soul.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Stan Davis; children, Brad (Wendy), Sue and Scott (Theresa) Lewiston; step-children, Leisa, Julie and Jim Baird and Amanda Garr and Stephanie Henrich; sisters, Marjorie Johnston and Lillian Brown; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Baird and her parents.
