Service Details
Sandra Torrey, 56, died suddenly Sunday, March 13, 2011. Visitation will be 12:00 pm to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home in Des Moines. A graveside service will immediately follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Sandra was born September 12, 1954, to Patricia and Vernon Jayne. She enjoyed going to Prairie Meadows, watching TV, and especially spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Jimmy Cross) Torrey; her daughter, Bobbie (Gary Watson) Bothwell; her grandchildren: Alexis Watson, Samantha Bothwell, Hunter Cross, Cody Cross, and Jimmy Cross III; and her siblings: Vernon Jayne, Tom (Carrie) Jayne, Kathy (Raymond) Ameigh, Pam Lehman, and Richard Benton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Torrey; her mother, Patricia Benton; and her brother, Rick Jayne.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Sandra.

Dear Torrey family,
I want to express by deep sorrow over your loss and share what helped me when I lost my whole family to death. I found comfort and hope from what Gods word the Bible says at John11:11 and Mark5:39 that they'er just asleep and Jesus states at John5:28,29 that I'll see them again. This truly gives me the strength to get trough each day because I miss them so much. sorry to hear about yours loses and our hearts go out to all of u and send our warmest thoughts and prayers to you all. she has gone home to be with god and will be in wonderfuls hands and be able to see of her other loved ones that went home to be god
