Christine Diane Wood Brockman

Christine Diane (Wood) Brockman, 57, of Des Moines, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 at home. She was born on January 9, 1954 in Springfield, MA to Frederick and Marion Wood. She graduated from Cathedral High and Springfield College. She loved working with children and ran an in-home daycare for many years. Christine enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Robert, Philip, and Beverly Wood.
Christine leaves behind her beloved children; daughter, Kassandra (Mendez) Mallory and husband Nicholas Mallory of West Des Moines and son, Kristofer Mendez and his fiancé, Priscilla Walling of Grimes; grandchildren, Jaiden and Makenna Mallory, and Hunter and Ryleigh Mendez; siblings, Steve (Joyce) Wood and family of Wisconsin, Mike Wood, and Betty Jean Reeves.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Waukee Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 400 Pleasant View Drive, Waukee, IA.
