Donna Lou Schultz died March 8, 2011, at Kavanagh House. Donna was born May 7, 1938, in Runnells, IA, and lived in Des Moines her adult life. She married Don Schultz in 1990.
She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Cooper, and grandson, Joseph Cooper. She is survived by her husband, Don; daughter, Sandy (Mark) Doornenbal; sons, Jeff (Nadine) Cooper and Todd (Lynn) Cooper; step-sons, Kurt (Cindy) Schultz and Kevin (Bonnie) Schultz; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, Bobby (Sally) Hershey.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 11, at the Eagle’s Lodge, 6567 Bloomfield Road, Des Moines.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.

We offer our condolences to Don and the Cooper family..We did not know Donna that well but we are friends with Don..Also Donna and us share a great-grandchild Jaylen Joseph Cooper. Don told us at least she is not suffering anymore...She was a very beautiful woman in so many ways...Our prayers are with you in this difficult time...
