Lester Swinehart

Lester L. Swinehart, 94, passed away peacefully March 6, 2011, at Taylor House Hospice.
Lester was born in Burlington, Iowa to Charles and Mary Swinehart. He served in WWII, and retired from Lennox Industries. Lester was at CLC University for the last nine years. He enjoyed going to Prairie Meadows, BINGO, and family outings.
Lester is survived by his daughters, Rita Campero of Minneapolis, Marcia Borgerson, Kathy S. Mongar and Colleen Vonk, all of Des Moines; sons, Steve and Mark, both of Des Moines; sisters, Mary Daley of Des Moines, and Evelyn Brett of California; brother, Patrick of Las Vegas; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine; brothers, John, Jim and Charles; and a sister, Imogene.
Per his request, his body has been cremated and no services are planned. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

I'm veery sorry of the lost of you "Dad" I'll alwayes remember when I first met him at your grandma's.Boy was many years ago.I will never forget when he sang to me at the nursing home, and when to told me about his calanders.He was a very special friend . Kathy,& Colleen remember how he would make us laugh so hard. Collen always remember to get fresh donuts .My prayers are with all of you .Love ya all

everyone i am so sorry of the lost of your dad
I remember all the fun times we had with him listing to him play he's gutair up stairs and colleen remember his driving kinda of scary my thought and prays are with all of you love connie
