Mary Paschal

Mary Paschal, 87, passed away March 2, 2011 at Kavanagh on 56th Street.

Mary was born February 9, 1924, in Iowa, to James and Josephine (Semple) Boston. She was one of seven children. Mary graduated from East High School.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Janet Paschal, brother, Charles Boston, sister-in-law, Erma Boston, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Estella, Nisian, and Gladys Boston; two brothers, James and Hughes Boston; and son, Clemmie Paschal.

Mary worked for 34 years as a secretary for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. After retiring in May of 1979, she worked as a legal secretary for Lord-Brissel and Brook Law Firm in Chicago.

Mary loved to shop and travel, and was a member of True Bible Baptist Church.

The family would like to thank Dr. Erin Herndon and all the doctors and nurses at Iowa Methodist Hospital, along with Doren Thomas and all the care givers with Iowa Health.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
