Candy Kay Olson, 42, passed away at her home March 2, 2011.
Candy was born May 28, 1968. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry, singing and listening to country music. Family and friends were her life’s passion.
Candy is survived by her loving husband, Darren Debing; sons, Michael Mielke and Taylor Olson; grandchildren, Xander and Charlee Mielke; sister, Sherri (Nate) Buckles; niece, Autumn; parents, Rose (Rick) Gilbert, Bill (Cathy) Troutfetter and Dean (Betty) Mielke; and her grandmother, Florence Bowen.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

My heartfelt condolences to Candy's family. I was out of state when she passed and only found our about it this week on my return to Iowa. I knew Candy for many years and her sons Taylor and Michael. Candy was a person full of the zest for life and had such a unique ability for writing from the heart. Her passing is too soon and the world will be less of a brighter place without her in it. I will always remember her and ask that God watch over her and bless her and keep her as well as her family and loved ones.......Mark Shepard
