Robert Justice

Robert “Bob” Justice, 96, died Saturday, February 26, 2011, in Edinburg, Texas. A memorial service will be held 12 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial at Berwick Cemetery. Family will greet friends 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Bob was born August 24, 1914, in Berwick. He farmed his entire life in the area and was actively involved in the farming community. Bob served on many boards, including Polk County Farm Bureau, Federal Land Bank, Bondurant Jr. Board, Enterprise Elevator, Berwick Congregational Church Board, and Farm Services Board. He was also a Master Swine Producer and a member of Berwick Congregational Church, and recently attended Altoona United Methodist Church.

Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years; Mona; children, Steve (Katherine) Justice, Mary Beth Overton, Scott (Sally) Justice, Melissa (Dan) Rud; grandchildren, Amy (John) Crane, Christopher Justice, and Jacob Rud; step great-grandchildren, Jayden and Olivia; as well as a host of other family and beloved Iowa and Texas friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Kory Justice; two brothers; five sisters; a daughter-in-law; and son-in-law.

Memorial contributions may be made to Berwick Congregational Church Building Fund or Altoona United Methodist Church Building Fund in loving memory of Bob.
