Gerald “Jerry” D. McBee, 67, died Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at his home. Per his request, he has been cremated and no services are currently planned.
Gerald was born September 14, 1943 to Charles and Marjorie McBee in Leon, Iowa. He lived in the Des Moines area for most of his life and in Mitchellville for the past 35 years. Gerald retired from Prairie Meadows after ten years of service and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Janet; mother, Marjorie McBee; brother, Larry (Connie) McBee; nieces, Kelli Thompson and family and Loura Smith and family; son-in-law, Stephen LeBon and a host of other family and beloved friends. Gerald was preceded in death by his father, Charles; and sister, Sandra.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Gerald at PO Box 743, Mitchellville, IA 50169.

I am very sorry to have heard about Gerald's death, I didn't know about it until I seen it on the internet. My prayers goes out to Aunt Margorie and the rest of the family. I also didn't know Sandra had passed away too. My thoughts
and prayers are with the whole family.
