Jessie Hines, 73, passed away February 19, 2011, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. She was born June 3, 1937, in Tama, IA. Jessie was a lifelong Des Moines resident. Her greatest passion in life was spending time with her grandchildren.
Jessie is survived by her husband, Mitchell; children, Leonard Emery, Cindy (Emmett) Hibdon, and Patty (Rick) Young; step-sons, Mitch and John Hines; step-daughter, Ellen Poston; grandchildren, Angel Mosby, Chris Emery, Greg Mosby, Ricky Young, Travis Young, Jennifer Cox and Chad Emery; seventeen great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and one step-great-granddaughter on the way. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard Emery.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 24, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
