Judith A. Young

Judith A. Young, 65, passed away at her home February 18, 2011.

Judith was born December 13, 1945 in Des Moines to Alfred and Virginia (Zook) Ridley.

Judith is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Earl) Schamerhorn and Margie (Kenny) Smith; grandchildren, Amanda and Joey Schamerhorn; sister, Marsha Mills; brother, Allen Ridley; companion, Virgil Hanson; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and lots of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Young; son, Sam Donovan; and her parents.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2011 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Burial will take place at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
