Pauline Larson

February 18, 2011

Service Details

Martha Larson, known as Pauline by all who were blessed enough to meet her, entered the gates of Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior after almost 95 years on February 18, 2011.

Though she was born in Iowa on February 25, 1916, her family’s emigration from Sweden impacted her life greatly. Her Swedish heritage showed in everything from her decorating to her award-winning cookies she annually entered in the Iowa State Fair (many of them blue ribbons) to her life-long membership at one of the first American Swedish churches, now known as Evangelical Covenant Church.

Pauline was known as a loving, generous, hard-working and godly woman. Her love for the Lord was evident in everything from her character while working at AE Dairy for 64 years to her faithfulness to God even when faced with the loss of her mother and husband within months.

Even during her last days on earth, she glorified God and eagerly waited to see Rick, her husband of 20 years, her brothers, Everett, Iver, Herbert, David and Harold Erickson, and her sister, Ruby Brady. She is survived by two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Pauline will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but they are blessed by the confidence that she is finally in God’s presence, hearing His very voice call her name for the first time.

A celebration of her new life will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2011, at Evangelical Covenant Church, 2625 Hubbell Avenue, with the visitation to precede it at 6 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be given to her church.
