LaTasha Marie Wineland, 26, passed away February 12, 2011, from injuries sustained in a tragic car accident.
Latasha was born December 3, 1984, in Des Moines. She graduated from Saydel High School in 2003 where she was active in softball, volleyball, basketball and marching band. She was also a member of the AAU intramural basketball team. In 2007, she graduated with a degree as a medical assistant from Kaplan University. Latasha was a member of Highland Park Christian Church. She was currently employed at Casey’s in Van Meter.
Latasha is survived by her daughters, Joselyn-Mae Marie and Tabitha Kay; significant other, Matt Tijerina; mother, Charlotte (William Jr.) Quinn; father, Dennis (Robin) Wineland; sister, Bobbie Jean; brothers, Brent, Jonathan, Matthew and Lucas; and a host of other extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at Highland Park Christian Church, 4260 NW 6th Drive, followed by burial at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for her daughters’ education trusts.

I worked with Tasha at Arbys in Clive. She was a very nice and
funny person to work with. I will always remember her and my
husband, Tony, teasing each other. He would say to Tasha "I am
so glad you got to see me today" and her response was "you always
make my day." I can not express how deeply I feel for you, the
family, just know that we send our deepest sympathy to all of you.
It is a loss to all of us.
