Frances V. Kochheiser

Frances Kochheiser, 95, passed away February 10, 2011, at University Park Nursing and Rehab Center under hospice care.

Frances was the daughter of Charles William and Leith Viggers, born January 19, 1916. She was a 50 year member of East High Alumni. She was a founding member of the Stewardess Club. Frances was a bookkeeper for Prairie Farms. She enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling, playing Bridge and doing puzzles.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Carol Kochheiser; sons, Ron (Diana) Kochheiser and Randy (Rochelle) Kochheiser; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elizabeth and Wilma; brother, Veryl; and her husband, Lawrence.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Greenwood Friends Cemetery in Ankeny. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa Health Home Care Hospice or East High School Scholarship Fund.
