Randy Overton, 54, passed away at his home February 9, 2011.
Randy was born February 9, 1957. He served in the U.S. Army. Randy retired from EFCO. He enjoyed coaching North Des Moines Girls Softball and playing men’s slow pitch softball for the Bandits.
Randy is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Shane, Wendy, Megan, Brandie, Charles and Randy, Jr.; brothers, Gary and Les; sisters, Carol and April; and three grandsons. He was preceded in death by his son, Dustin; parents, Paul and Mildred Overton; brothers, Tom and Larry; and sister, Sharon.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial will follow at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Randy was a wonderful man and loyal friend. He will forever be missed by all who knew him. We will remember him through all the wonderful memories we shared with him through the years. Our thoughts go out to all his family and friends who are grieving him.

Our deepest sympathy on the lost of you loved one. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all in this time of your sorrow. I worked with Randy at EFCO years ago and he helped coach my daughter Dakota at North Des Moines Girls softball. He will be deeply missed by all that he touched by his kindness.
