Cleo Collins

Cleo H. Collins, 89, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Monday, February 7, 2011. Visitation will be Thursday, February 10, 6 to 8 p.m., at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 N.E. Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO, and Saturday, February 12, 10 to 11 a.m., at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, Iowa, with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at Hamilton's. Burial in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines.

Cleo was born in Carlisle, Iowa, served in the Army Air Force during WWII and worked many years for TWA, retiring in 1983.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Delia; one sister, five brothers, two daughters, Sherrill and Judy; and one great-granddaughter.

Survivors include a son, Richard; two daughters, Marilyn York and Teggie Collins; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
