Gail Moore

Gail “GT” Moore, 88, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Regency Care Center. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m Monday, April 2nd at Highland Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens.
Gail was born September 5, 1918 in Des Moines to Olive and Hosea Moore. He served in the US Army in World War II in the European theater and was awarded three bronze stars and the purple heart. Gail retired after 39 years with the Des Moines Union Railroad where he retired as a yardmaster.
Gail is survived by his children, Michael (Barbara) Moore, Kathy (Gary Sr.) Sullivan, Kelly Moore and Gaileen (Gary) Krebs; his sisters, Tressa Hamilton and Patty (Marvin) Hartson; 21 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, his son, Pat Moore.
