Wreta O. Bowker

Wreta O. Bowker, 74, passed away on Saturday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wednesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service.

Wreta was born November 13, 1936, to Ray and Mildred Lock. She worked as an accountant. Wreta was an avid reader. She did crossword and board puzzles and enjoyed going to the horse races to watch the horses.

Wreta is survived by her son, Steve (Jere) Ellson, many nieces and nephews, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Alpha Davenport; and nieces, Sheryl Clark and Christina Mincks-Reeves.
