Jose Oviedo Valdez, 69, passed away at his home January 21, 2011.
Jose was born March 19, 1941 in Fort Stockon, TX to Ramon and Estefania Valdez. He was a roofer all of his life. Jose moved to Iowa in 1968 and worked for Wood Roofing until 1988, when he started his own roofing business, Valdez Roofing which he retired from in 2005.
Jose is survived by his wife, Concepcion; and his children, Efren, Sonia, Erick, L. Margarita, Rosa Elia, Claudia E. and P. Liliana Valdez.
Visitation will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2011, and Thursday, January 27, 2011.

My heart goes out to you, Linda, and your whole family. I have no words to ease the pain. I only have arms to hold you while we both cry. Remember the good times. Now that Grampa is in heaven, He can watch closely. There is no hiding from him now. :-)
