Joe Willie Hogan, 67, died January 15, 2011, at Broadlawns Hospital. He was born March 2, 1943, in Westpoint, MS to Clara and Jimmy Hogan.
Public visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. that evening at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Rockhill Cemetery in Starksville, MS at a later date.
Joe is survived by his wife, Carole; his children, Henry Thompson, Teresa Sutton, Ruby Taylor, Carlissa Bell and Shawn Thompson; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Johnny Frank Hogan, Cleveland Hogan and Claretha Hogan Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and many wonderful friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Hogan.
