Leota Foglesong

L. Leota Foglesong, 87, passed away January 9, 2011, at Ramsey Village.

Leota was born October 24, 1923, in Des Moines to Reverend Thomas and Leah (Smith) Foglesong. She graduated from Drake University and taught elementary education at various schools in Iowa and special needs children at the Woodhaven Learning Center in Columbia, MO. Leota was a member of Highland Park Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at St. Charles Cemetery in St. Charles, IA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Highland Park Christian Church.
