Jack Patrick

Jack Dean Patrick, 78, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 5, 2011. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2011, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral home with burial following at Avon Cemetery. A visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Jack was born November 9, 1932, in Madrid, Iowa to Aldi and Mary Ann Patrick. He retired from John Deere. Jack was a proud member of the US Navy and VFW Post #738. He enjoyed fishing and stockcar racing.

Jack is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Mike Patrick; daughter, Debbie (Mike) Sweeney; grandsons, Joe (Stevie) Patrick, Chance (Dani) Patrick; great grandson, Jackson Patrick as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VFW Post #738, 2801 Dean Avenue, Des Moines, 50317.
