Manuel Maurice Calderon

Manuel Maurice Calderon II, 70, died from cancer December 28, 2010, at the Veterans Hospital.

Manuel was born September 8, 1940, in Des Moines and was raised by Manuel and Barbara Calderon. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a surveyor for the Iowa Conservation Commission. Manuel also owned and operated a computer store and taught computer science. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying and photography.

Manuel is survived by his children, Manuel Calderon III, Denise Calderon, Marietta Stalnaker, Angela Calderon and Vanessa Calderon; eight grandchildren; and his brother, George Calderon. He was preceded in death by his parents.
