Edward Olney

Edward M. Olney, 90, died Sunday, March 25, 2007 of congestive heart failure. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial will be in Powers-Warren Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
Edward was born July 10, 1916 to Harrison and Ethel Olney. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Navy. Edward was employed with Skelly and Getty Oil for thirty years, retiring in 1980. He enjoyed working on his acreage with his land and farm animals. Edward also enjoyed tinkering with his small engines and spending time with his family.
Edward is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy, one son, Tim; two brothers, Russell and Harold; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Tom; two brothers, Alfred and Leslie; and his parents, Harrison and Ethel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Taylor House in Edward’s memory.
