Ryan Edwards Melone, 32, died December 26, 2010. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home.
Ryan enjoyed fishing, movies with his dad, collecting knives, baseball cards and the color Red.
He is survived by his mother, Shelley Melone-Alford; dad, Paul Alford; brother, Jack Petsche; Aunt & Uncle, Carol & Steve Creason; Aunt, Penny Mundy; niece, Harlee Sickels; special girls, Libby Bell, Judy Stipe, Jenny Sickels, Lena Ploessel, Heather Huffman; and his cousins.
Ryan is preceded in death by his brothers, Jonny & Josh Fuller; grandma’s, June King and Jovenay Balaski.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established and can be directed to the family.
“Ryan Received a second chance at life at age 7, and lived 25 years in addition, thanks to the organ transplant program.”

Hey buddy,
Happy 4th!!!! Boy you missed alot of fireworks you would if loved it.. Boy you are so missed. Your mom is doing really good. She has been the happiest lately since you have left. I'm sure you know all about it.. I'm so happy for her not that she doesn't miss cuz we talk about Mr Ryan ALL the time. The great times we all had! We just love & miss u so much!!

Well Ryan buddy, it's been almost 2 yrs you have been gone and it just seems like yesterday you was kicking me out of your house!!! LOL We ALL miss you so much wishing you was here... I would just like for you to look over your mother at this time of the year!! She really needs yours and Gods hands to get her through... Wishing you was here for me and Steves wedding.. HAPPY NEW YEAR Ryan, Another year down and on our way to another one!!! Well by the sounds of it Jack will be home next week. I'm asking you to help him stay on the right track. Not that I don't think he won't but help keep the evils ones away when he is not that strong out here. We miss you VERY much so!!!

Ryan, Buddy Merry Christmas. Wish you was here sooo very much!!! Jack gets to come home just wish the two of could of spent some time to gether. And i'm sure he does to. Well, it doesn't seem like a year has gone by. It just feels like yesterday that you was kicking me out of your house. 4 real. I just wanted to wish you a happy hoilday and ask that you help your mother through this hard time she going through and give her the strenght and guidness that she needs at this time.. Boy are you ever missed bud!!! But I am writting to you to ask that you give your mother some kind of peace and let her know that she is alright. She just needs a push from her baby. You know your mother that she is lost without you and she needs that push to not get on with her life BUT to know that you are alright with everything and she needs to do to go on.. I know this is asking sooo much from you but you know your mother, she doesn't know life without her Ryan in it and I feel that if you gave her the push then she would know that she is doing the right thing cuz you know Ryan is ALWAYS right!!! BUT only when you feel it is right for you. I love and miss you buddy so much and I know I am asking alot from you but we both know that she needs this for her and from you!!!

Ryan, I miss you so very much BUT I know you are ALOT better now. There is not more pain in the back-legs-ankles no were. I know you are with your brothers and Grandma but if I man comes up to you that you don't know and talks to you it is my dad Dan. I'm telling you this cuz I have asked him to help if you need it. You and my dad are alot alike and I think you two will get along just fine. By the way Happy New Year and man Rino This will be a new begin for both you and your mother. I know you are watching over her, Paul, & Jack and they all need it. Yesterday was hard for everyone but everyone knows that you are in alot better place then we are for real. I just ask one thing from you Mr Melone other than to enjoy and be happy in your better life. Just keep and eye on your mom-Paul & Jack to get through this and to kepp them on the right track. Mr Melone, you always deserve the best Ryan and you had here with your mom (she is the very best mom in the world) and now there. We all miss you so very much Ryan but we know you are better there and I never want to ever think you are for gotta cuz to the ones that you touched - you tounched for life in our heart - in our mind - in our souls till we see again.

Shelly my prayers are with you and your family. I know this is the hardest thing you'll ever have to do. My heart goes out to you. You amaze me with your strenth.
