Mack E. Williams

Mr. Mack Williams Jr. was born April 13, 1928, in Meriden, Mississippi, to Mr. Mack Williams Sr. and Sadie Williams. From this union his parents had four children of which he was the only son. On August 30, 1986, he married the love of his life, Mrs. Irene Williams, and together they raised three beautiful children.

He and his wife were some true fishers, which was their favorite thing to do together. He loved the sports boxing, tennis, golf, football, and his favorite baseball team was the Atlanta Braves. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved telling jokes and could tell them like no other.

He walked into our savior's arms on December 25, 2010, he was 82 years young. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 30-plus years, Irene Williams; his son Raymond Fuller; his daughters, Menia (Otha) Jordan, and Shirley (Eugene) Saunders, all of Des Moines, Iowa; 20 grandkids; 45 great-grandkids; and a host of nieces, nephews, and a very special friend, his next door neighbor who would do anything to help him. He meets in paradise on this day his parents, three sisters, a grandson, John Ray Fuller, and a granddaughter. He will be greatly missed by all whom knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, Iowa, with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery. Friends may call for one hour before services, at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the family, in loving memory of Mack.
