Robert H. Light, 69, formerly of Des Moines, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010, in Gainesville, Texas. He was born July 5, 1941, in Ryers, California.
He was a Vietnam War Veteran, member of Royal Harvest Church of Columbus, Ohio, and was a retired Wal-Mart truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don Roush; brother, Roger Roush; and sister, Mary Trogoni. Survivors include wife, Leoda Light of Gainesville, Texas; mother, Ruth Roush of Des Moines; sister, Rose Dunn of Searcy, Arkansas; brothers, Bill Light and Jim Roush of Des Moines; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Robert will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 17, 2010, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial to follow at Jordan Cemetery. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, December 18, 2010, at the funeral home.
