Jenna Falbo, 17, passed away December 13, 2010, at Blank Children’s Hospital after an eight month courageously fought second battle with brain cancer. She won the first battle when she was eight years old.
Jenna was born November 26, 1993 in Webster City, during a winter storm on Black Friday. She attended Lincoln High School. Jenna loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a passion for children and spent the past eight years attending the Children Cancer Center Y Camp for one week each summer. Jenna looked forward to those summers and hoped to be a counselor there one day. Jenna spent most of her time caring for others especially her family. She was a beautiful young lady, inside and out. Jenna was charming, witty and full of life.
Jenna is survived by her parents, Jean (Monty) Kinseth, Joe Falbo; siblings, Joey Falbo, Jack and Lauren Kinseth; grandparents, Joan and Charles Hisler, Aurora Falbo; her beloved dog, Rusty; a host of other loving family that will forever cherish Jenna’s memory. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Michael Falbo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will occur 10:30 AM Friday, December 17, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Road, Des Moines. Burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th in Des Moines.
Memorial Contributions may be directed toward the Jenna Falbo Fund, in hopes of one day starting a scholarship in her name.
Jenna will be deeply missed by her family and all that knew her. Jenna will NEVER be forgotten.

You have our deepest sympathy. She was a beautiful girl. I have had you in my thoughts for quite awhile. Going through a lot with my sister who passed with cancer is hard to let go. It all seems so unfair. Jenna will always be in our thoughts. God Bless you all you are in our prayers.

Having just had my mother pass away from cancer 11/6/10, I still find it hard to say the right comforting words for you Jean and your Family at this time. My son Dylan went to grade school with Jenna at St. Anthony's.
They made their First Communion together shortly after Jenna's original
diagnosis. We will always remember Jenna's sweet, gentle spirit and her courageous battle.

Jenna holds a very special place in my heart. Her aunt Carrie is my dear friend and I have come to know about Jenna through Carrie. I've only met Jenna a few times, but feel like I know her well from the love and stories presented by her aunt. I have a daughter named Jenna as well, so there's always been a special place in my heart for Jenna Falbo. I am so sad to hear of her passing, but I know that she is with God and surrounded by peace and comfort with no more pain.

I am so sorry for the lost of Jenna. I did not know her, but my son passed away from brain cancer at the age of 18 after a 7 year battle. My heart goes out to your family. Such a tragic loss. Kids are supposed to have happy childhoods and grow up and give us grandchildren. May the love and comfort of God and your family surround you.

My Dearest Jenna, I miss you so much already. My heart is shattered. I called and listened to your voice today. As sad as it is for all of us, we all know that you are smiling, dancing, singing and having so much fun that you haven't been able to do for so long. To my dear sister, Joey and Joe, I am so very sorry you all have to go through this. No words can even express how much she touched our hearts! How we now live our lives without her is impossible to think about. However, I know Jenna would not want us to be sad, but how can we not? Jenna is one of the most amazing people I ever knew. We have an awesome family and we need to continue to support one another, even more so now. Love you guys!!!
