Betty J. Snow

Betty J. Snow, 83, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2010, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at First Presbyterian Church, 3100 Easton Blvd., followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

Betty was born September 7, 1927, to Jessie and Adella Stark in Guthrie, Oklahoma. In the 40’s, Betty worked for Northwestern Bell Tel Co. as an operator before she was married . When her children were growing up, she worked in the kitchen at Stowe Elementary School and later went on to become a Home Health Aide. Betty was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her family.

Betty is survived by her son, Kenneth Mark (Susan) Snow and their children, Bryan and Ellen; and her daughter, Cynthia (Louis) Ball and their twins, Julia and Logan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill in 2009 and daughter, Janice Marie in 1965.
