Daisy M. Harris

Daisy M. Harris, 93, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2010, at Wakonda Christian Church. A visitation will be from 10 am until service time. Burial will be at the Garrett Cemetery in Delta, Iowa.

Daisy was born November 11, 1917, in Iowa Falls, Iowa to Owen and Mickey Nichols. She worked as a librarian at Meredith Publishing. Daisy was a member of Wakonda Christian Church and enjoyed volunteering there. She loved plants and flowers whether inside or outside; was a really good cook and liked camping and boating.

Daisy is survived by her daughter, Patricia Rotter; sisters, Mary Tibbetts, Esther Vincent, Rosemary Bella, Margy Robinson, Violet Baldwin, Dorothy; brother, Ivan Nichols; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard “Ray” Harris; brothers Keith and Johnny Nichols and her special friend, Art Klinefelt.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wakonda Christian Church or the Carlisle Care Center in her loving memory.
