Darol D. Carter of Eagle passed away at his home on November 28, 2010.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years Roseanne; daughters, Cynthia Ulett of Lees Summit, MO, and Diana (Corey) Conder of Jackson, TN; step-sons Ivan (Jessica) Abel of Perry, IA and Luther (Jennie) Abel of Des Moines, IA; grandchildren Olivia and Emily Winans, Hunter and Ella Abel; his mother Rose Jane Carter of Altoona, IA; siblings Larry Carter, Ronnie (Janet) Carter, Kathy (Rick) Berry, Ethel Carter, and Carolyn (Vaughn) Bell and his brother-in-law, Frank Palfi. He is further survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Darol was preceded in death by his first wife of 26 years Susan Carter; his father Kenneth A. Carter and his brother Keith Carter.

Darol proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He worked for A & A Manufacturing as a Quality Manager. He was a member of Countryside Christian Church in Brookfield, WI, the National Council Corvette Clubs, Inc., the Corvette Club of Iowa, Midwest Region, Gr. 7 Referee with the U.S. Soccer Federation and WIAA. He was a soccer referee since 1975.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Woodland Hills Church of Christ, 2484 SE 68th in Pleasant Hill, IA, with burial following at the Altoona Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

A memorial fund has been established at his church, Countryside Christian Church, 16650 W. Greenfield Avenue, Brookfield, WI, 53005.
