Erma I. Patrick

Erma Ione Patrick, 77, died on Friday, December 3, 2010, at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, Iowa.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at Heritage Assembly of God Church, 5051 NE 5th Street, Des Moines with a luncheon following the service. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 on Monday at the church. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola, Iowa.

Erma was born October 16, 1933, in Des Moines, Iowa to Ione (Reasoner) and Raymond Anderson. She married Joe Lou Patrick and was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. Erma was a devout Christian and a member of Heritage Assembly of God Church. She loved children and took pride in taking care of her family and her home. Erma brought light to everyone’s life she touched.

Erma is survived by her husband, Joe Patrick; her daughters; Mary Jo Lane and Susan (Terry) Grimm; grandchildren, Tanda (Jim) Lawrence, Mirand (Mike) Driskill, Kristy (Rick) Penick, Tina (Ronny) Barton, Brett (Marcia) Grimm, Scott (Ronda) Grimm and Kirk (Heather) Grimm; great grandchildren, Destiny, Eternity, Guy, Tiffany, Katelynn, Jason, Jerad, Jacob, Jesse, Joshua, Alexis, Justin, Coulton, Brittany, Cassidy, Megan, Derek, Austin, Jordan, Caleb and Kelsie; and one great great grandson, Isaiah; her sisters, Norma McNeeley and Janetta McNeeley; and brother and sister in law, Charles (Ione) Patrick. She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Anderson; her mother, Ione (Anderson) McNeeley; her brother, James Emerson; her sister, Nina McNeeley, her brother in law, George Junior Patrick; and her mother and father in law, Leman and Lucinda Patrick.

Memorial contributions are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Unit at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, Iowa or to the Alzheimer’s Association of Iowa in loving memory of Erma.
