Joseph Soda

Joseph Soda, 91, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at Good Samaritan nursing home in Indianola, Iowa.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. by the Bellizzi MacRae American Legion and a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2010 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery.

Joe served in the U.S. Army. He was also a member of the Bellizzi MacRae American Legion Post #659.

Joe is survived by his wife Mary of 64 years; daughters, Joanne (Dave) Stockwell and Ann (Don) Grant; four grandchildren, David and Ryan Stockwell, Kimberly Heuer and Chris Grant; three great-grandchildren, Jayme and James Heuer and Sophia Stockwell.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Church Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association.
