Kenneth Dale Mathews

Kenneth Mathews, 52, died peacefully at his home Friday, November 26, 2010. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1627 Grand Ave., West Des Moines.

Kenneth was born April 15, 1958 to Valerie and Roger Mathews in Detroit, MI. He left his beloved San Jose, CA to come to Des Moines six years ago, and worked for Mid-State Distributing. He was a devoted husband and father.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Blanca; his son, Kyle; his parents, Valerie and Roger; his sister, Lynn (Pete) Hargrave; his brother, Doug (Pam) Mathews; his sister, Karen (Angelo) DiMaggio; and fifteen nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. Memorial contributions may be made to the family who will put it towards Kyle’s college fund.

Ken left this world comfortably knowing that he had a good life, because he loved and has been loved, and had so many blessings on this earth. We are fortunate to have had the gift of knowing the kindness, consideration and integrity with which he lived.
