Colleen Ann Knapp

Colleen Ann Knapp, 79, passed away at home on November 25, 2010. She was born February 11, 1931 to Ellen (Olson) and Melvin Flatness in Plymouth, Iowa. The family then moved to Manly, Iowa where she grew up and graduated in 1950 from Manly High School.

Colleen was married to Bob Knapp just three months shy of 60 years. She enjoyed dancing, playing bridge, and cooking. She was a very loving, caring, dedicated wife and mother, and was very easy to get along with. One of Bob’s fondest memories was Colleen’s frequent reading to their children in their early years. Colleen was Bob’s best friend.

Colleen will be greatly missed by her husband, Bob; son, Stephen; daughter, Jill; son, William; and granddaughter, Olivia Knapp. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Maynard Flatness; and sister, Maxine Heinz.

Bob would like to give a special thanks to Deb, Meagan, Maura, and Elaine of Wesley Life Hospice for all of their help.
