Robert James King, Jr.

Robert James King, Jr., 64, passed away on November 17, 2010 in Scottsdale, AZ. Services will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Student Center, 1150 28th Street in Des Moines on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 11 a.m. Family will greet friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Bob was cremated and will be buried at Glendale Cemetery.

Bob was born in Des Moines, IA and graduated from Dowling High School in 1964. He joined the Army and attended non-commissioned officer candidate school. Following the military he attended the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. From 1971 to 1978 he was married to Katherine Miller. Bob worked for Massey Ferguson for a brief time, but spent most of his career as an employment recruiter in Milwaukee, Chicago and Scottsdale. He was also an avid reader, hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed discussing politics.

He is survived by his sisters, Margaret Ann (Joe) Comito of Des Moines, IA and Rose Marie (David) Donovan of McLean, VA; longtime friend, Chuck Wells; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Irene King and his brother, Kevin King.
