Service Details
Vesta Allen, 65, went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2010. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010, at New Beginnings Full Gospel Family Church, 555 East Euclid Avenue in Des Moines. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Vesta was a member of Community Baptist Church, Morning Star Baptist Church, Kyles, and Our Savior.
She loved shopping, eating donuts, taking care of her two dogs, gardening, traveling and vacationing. She was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother.
Vesta is survived by her husband, Darryl Allen, daughters, Dee, Kimberly, Yolanda, Tina; daughter/niece, Deb; siblings, Dee, Louise, Mary, Rosemary, Claudie, Stan, Linda; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and a host of other family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Deanna and Aunt Nee Nee.

Hey mavesta I guess its just one of those days for me I'm missing you like crazy I have so many sweet memories of you and time we spent together its never a day that goes by that your not on my mind somedays I understand will be harder than others one thing I kno for sure is ur still here with me I love you forever and always grandma

Words cannot express how much you are missed. Though I only have few memories of times we spent together or spoke on the phone...they will forever be cherished.
To think of all the days that we could have shared but didn't because we took them for granted is a pain that can never be erased. Oh how I wish I could rewind time and spend some of those days with you. But it is now God's turn to have you and give you an eternal life of joy and love.
