Richard F. VanVlair

Richard VanVlair, 68, passed away at his home November 15, 2010. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2010, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

Richard was a forklift operator for AMF Western International for many years. He retired as a building maintenance supervisor from Integra. Richard enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an NRA member. He loved animals, especially his dog Taz.

Richard is survived by his children, Valerie (Rob) Hansen, Jeffrey (Lyne) VanVlair and Darleen (Randy) Witzel; grandchildren, Jasmine, Hannah, Christopher, Brandon, Tylor, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Christian, Bailey, Cole and Chase; brother, Robert (Debbie) VanVlair; sister, Sandra (Donny) Taylor; half-brother, Dale (Cynthia) Scandridge; and many other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Josephine VanVlair; brothers, Barry and Edward; and his best friend since childhood, Jerry Scott who passed away in November of 2008.
