Craig Pohren

Craig Alan Pohren (Porno), 55, of Des Moines, passed away Sunday November 14, 2010, at his home in Runnells, Iowa.

Craig was born March 10, 1955 in Des Moines, Iowa and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 33 for 37 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 98, enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved to drive his 1970 El Camino and played one mean harmonica.

He is survived by his wife Mary Pohren, Runnells; his son Tyler Pohren and his wife Diane, Florida; son Andy Pohren, Des Moines; daughter Leslie Pohren, Wisconsin; two sisters Connie West, Roscoe, Illinois and Cheryl (Steve) Bidwell, Rockford, Illinois as well as his loyal dog Babe and many friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Helen Pohren, Des Moines, Iowa.

There will be a visitation at Hamiltons Funeral Home in Des Moines from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday November 17th. There will be a celebration of Craig’s life held at the Elks Lodge 98 lower level from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday November 19th.
