Irene Cavender, 95, passed away Friday, November 12, 2010 at Mitchellville Care Center. She was born May 13, 1915 in Stoughton, Wisconsin to Bert and Ovedia Exline. She enjoyed making dolls, knitting and crocheting.
Irene is survived by her son, Bob; daughters, Shirley (Keith) Griffin and Diane (Gary) Hickle; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll, and two daughters, Pat Barton and Frances Warren.
A burial of cremated remains will take place Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
