Sandra Lee Cook

Sandra passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010 at Fleur Heights Care Center with her loving family surrounding her. Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Sunday.

Sandra was born in Des Moines December 30, 1940. She worked at Target Stores for 30 years as a Bookkeeper. Sandra was a member of Cornerstone Family Church. She loved being with her family, especially her great grandchildren. She taught the children at church. She enjoyed dancing. She loved to cook and bless others and was known for her fudge.

Sandra Lee Cook was united in marriage to Clifton Cook on October 14, 1957. To that union five children were born. She is survived by her children, Sheryl Wright, Wanda (Sam) Blair, and Cliff Cook; her adopted daughter (in her heart) Carla (Larry) Kelley and their son Larry Jr.; her siblings, Ted (Luella) Floden, Gary Floden and Mary Lou (Fred) Hood; her grandchildren, Melanie Blair, Mike (Heather) Blair, Heather (Jerry) Hupp, Gregory (Kelli) Wright, Christopher Wright, Matthew Wright, Sarah Cook, Shaundra Cook and Alex Cook; her 13 great grandchildren, (with 2 on the way). Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Lenora and Lester Floden, her infant son, Jeff and her infant daughter, Angel.
