Roger Thompson, 58, passed away November 10, 2010, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City with his wife and kids by his side. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Olive Branch Church, 2732 Cleveland in Des Moines.
Roger was born August 16, 1952, in Des Moines. He loved being an over the road truck driver, “junking” and spending time with his family and friends.
Roger is survived by his wife, Barbara; mother, Arlene Beeler; children, Roger (Mona) Thompson, Jr., Samuel Thompson (Theresa), Angel Thompson (Lloyd), Devin (Stephanie) Mefferd,, Dustin (Kristin) Thompson, Keith (Amanda) Thompson, Jamie (Kody) Smith and Zach Haus; brothers, Don (Pam) Thompson and Larry Thompson; sister, Rachel Moore; seven grandchildren; and many other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Thompson; son, Rick Thompson; and sister, Jane Beddow.

I am so sorry you lost your husband. Remeber the good times, laugh at the bad times and be happy with the time you had with him. As long as you remember him he is not really ever gone. Love always.
