Service Details
Inez Lydia Carlson, 86, passed away Saturday, November 6th at the Kavanagh Hospice on 56th Street. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Monday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Inez loved being with her family. She enjoyed reading westerns by Louie Lamour, playing harmonica and guitar.
Inez is survived by her children, Ronald G. Carlson (Annette) of Griffin, GA.; her daughter, Joy Dellaca of West Des Moines, her sister, Vera Schneier of Beach, ND; her 5 grandchildren, DeAnn, Todd, Stephanie, Dena and Nick; 4 step-grandchildren, Dave, Kevin, Cindy and Wade; 23 great grandchildren, 8 step-great grandchildren and 7 step great great grandchildren. Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin M. Carlson.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Kavanagh House Hospice of Central Iowa.

My heart and prayers go out to the family. Joy, I remember the few times we stopped by your Mom's house. She was always so friendly and wanted to giggle with us girls. Of course she let Nick & Deana get away with whatever they wanted. You have your memories to carry you through. We are still here in Clear Lake and will be moving back next year. If you need to talk, call me.

We both want to say what a wonderful Aunt Inez was. She was a special sweet person and she will be missed very much. We have so many memories of Inez and they are all wonderful.
