Hilda Williams

Hilda Irene Williams was born November 30, 1928, in England. During WW II, she met and married Robert H. Williams, an American soldier. She came to the US and settled in Des Moines with her husband. They gave their hearts and lives to the Lord Jesus shortly thereafter. She was a tireless witness for her Lord. She bought hats and gloves for the homeless shelter, invited the homeless to her home for meals, and spent many hours in prayer at her church. Irene was a devoted mother and grandmother. She spent everything she had for the happiness of others.

Hilda met her Savior in Glory on October 31, 2010, where her husband was waiting for her. Survivors include her 4 children; Glenn (Linda) Williams, Kirk Williams, Cynthia (Dennis) Thompson, and Heather (Jonathan) Ribble; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 5th at Glad Tidings Assembly of God with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home.
