Willard Pratt, 77, passed away October 29, 2010, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. He was born January 18, 1933, in Des Moines to Charles and Vera (Chivers) Pratt. Willard worked for A&P Grocery for many years.
Willard is survived by his brothers, Thomas (Linda) Pratt and Jerry Pratt; and sister-in-law, Rita Pratt. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Jack and Bob Pratt.
A private family burial will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

More than once, Will mentioned a poem by William Cullen Bryant, "Thanatopsis."
A few lines seem especially appropiate:
