Dorothy Mylon - Husted

Dorothy D. Mylon-Husted, 80, passed away October 25, 2010, at Bright Kavanagh House. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2010, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Dorothy worked as the manager/cook for the Des Moines Public School System for over 20 years. She last worked at the Corydon Hospital for over 10 years.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Virginia (Ken) Huntley, Tom (Carole) Mylon and Ken (Carmen) Mylon; step-daughters, Merlene & Loretta; brothers, Donald Breon, Marlin Breon, Keith Breon, Verlin-Toad Breon; sisters, Arzetta Jones, Verla Koonts; grandchildren, Kay, Kristi, Tammy, Chad, Jerry, Chad; great-grandchildren, Amber, Todd, Travis, Joshua, Dylon, Mason, Kailey, Conner, Shania, Chad; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions can be directed to the Bright Kavanaugh Hospice House.
