Craig Ballard

Craig Ballard, 44, died unexpectedly doing what he loved, working outdoors, on Sunday October 24 2010, at his home. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, with burial following at Avon Cemetery. A visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Craig was born January 12, 1966, to Glenn and Penny Ballard in Des Moines. He worked different jobs, but all included his main love which was being outdoors. Craig enjoyed comic books and cartoons.

Craig is survived by his mother, Penny Ballard; brothers, Glenn Ballard III and Mark Ballard; sisters, Loretta Wilkins, Marla (Kevin) Tegtmeier, Machele Sandvig, and Malinda (Doug) Ridout; and many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Ballard Jr.
