Douglas Linder

Douglas Linder, 67, passed away October 24, 2010, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
Douglas was born December 2, 1942, in Chicago, IL. Douglas was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, following the Iowa Hawkeyes and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Dolores; sons, Bradley (Laura) Linder and Stephen (Melissa) Linder; grandchildren, Samuel, William and Sarah; and his brothers, Robert Linder and Carl Linder. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2010, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or the American Heart Association.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses and caregivers for the wonderful care Douglas received.

To The Linder Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Doug. I am Harry and Elaine Blomeyer's Daughter. I wish I lived closer I would sure be there. Doug was a great Man, and a wonderful cousin. I am sure going to miss him along with all of you.

Steve,
Our family is saddened to learn of the loss of your father. This is a difficult time for all of you and I am sorry that the stress you are experiencing with all of Will's struggles is compounded by this sad event. You all must feel overwhelmed and exhausted. I will keep your whole family in my prayers. Losing a parent is so hard. I hope your memories of happy times with your dad will sustain you in the months ahead.
