Louise J. Crivaro

Louise J. Crivaro, 94, died Saturday, October 23, 2010, at the Oakland Manor, in Oakland, IA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 27th at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with burial following at Glendale Cemetery. A visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Louise was born February 24, 1916, in Des Moines to Anthony and Carmella Abruzzie. She worked as a sales clerk for Wolf’s Clothing Store in Des Moines. Louise was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, the Women’s Auxiliary and the Italian American Cultural Center.

Louise is survived by her son John (Frances) Crivaro, Sr.; daughter Carmella (Dr. Charles) Pigneri; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and sisters Clara Vujnovich and Mary Longo. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Peter F. Crivaro and her great granddaughter Ashley Carpenter.
