Daniel V. Ragland, 69, passed away at the Urbandale Health Care Center on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010.
Dan was born December 5, 1940 in St. Joseph, MO to Virginia and Lloyd Ragland. He served in the U.S. Navy. Dan spent his life working as a fishery biologist for the Missouri Department of Conservation and the Army Corps of Engineers. He loved spending time with his family. His true passion was conservation and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Dan is survived by his daughter, Emmalie Ragland; son, Jared Ragland; nephew, Martin Hartig; many other nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Lois Russell.

I just heard this sad news today and wanted to express my sympathy to Dan's family. I worked with him for many years at the Corps of Engineers and found him to be a very kind and gentle man. May he rest in peace.
